About

The Lord works in mysterious ways. He wastes nothing. And He makes all things for His good according to His purpose in His perfect timing. I never imagined myself here, at age 69, writing it all down. But I remember the day a man I didn’t know walked into by office and left me pondering over those few minutes and his challenge to me about my belief. I don’t recall what started the conversation but I do remember it was something I said that he soundly rejected. He declared that there is nothing to prove that Jesus was the Messiah so he bluntly asked me why I was so sure. I wish I could remember in detail how the debate began, but I only remember that I quickly realized, there was no argument that would satisfy the rationale he claimed. I remember feeling ashamed that I couldn’t give better “evidence” for my belief but then I just admitted to him that if he was searching for proof from me, I could only tell him why I believe like I do and without waiting for a response, I told him two stories that I have often shared about how God saved my baby girl from choking and my little boy from drowning. I stammered an apology that I couldn’t give him anything more than that and then I said, “There is nothing anyone can say to me that will ever change my mind about who Jesus is because He proved it to me when I called on Him. He had listened to me intently and quietly without interruption to that point. And he smiled and said, “You believe because you’ve had a personal experience with Him.” This professed unbelieving stranger taught me one simple statement was all that was needed. Then he told me emphatically “You need to write that story down so that you will remember it.” As he got up to go to the teller window to do his business, he looked me in the eyes and said again “I’m serious. You need to write it down.” And once more before he left the bank, I saw him coming to my office a third time “It’s important. Write it all down.” My faith has grown since then and there are so many stories to tell. I believe God uses angels on earth to deliver messages. I’m still experiencing divine appointments. And Holy Moments. In obedience, I am writing it all down now. It is for me to witness of my relationship with Jesus. Only the Holy Spirit can open hearts to receive and they will be given ears to hear the Truth and believe.

1 Peter 3:15 “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life, and if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”
